Voltaire is not your typical Las Vegas venue. It’s a high-energy, 360-degree nightlife experience where concert, cabaret, and spectacle collide. To match that ambition, No Ceilings was brought in to create a holiday production that didn’t just fit the space, but fully activated it, delivering a smash-hit, all-encompassing experience designed for every angle of the room.

Objective

Reimagine Leona Lewis’ large-scale UK holiday arena tour as a cinematic, emotionally charged Las Vegas residency built specifically for Voltaire. The goal was not just to adapt the show, but to elevate it, preserving the emotional core and iconic moments while transforming the format into an immersive, high-impact experience that resonates with both dedicated fans and the unpredictable, high-energy Vegas audience.

Challenges

  • A completely different audience mix. Vegas residencies have a unique audience: both fans and visitors. The show had to deliver for everyone.
  • No permanent set. The production couldn’t live in the venue full-time. Everything had to be designed to roll in, break down, and strike quickly, much like touring conditions.
  • Holiday world-building at scale. The stage wasn’t the only space we had to think about. We transformed the entire venue with 30 lit and decorated Christmas trees, 600 feet of garland, wreaths, custom 10-ft pink bows, and bespoke-designed scenic elements that wrapped the entire room in holiday feels.
  • Signature theatrical moment. Leona envisioned an aerial moon set piece as the central point, with the ability to sit on and fly with it. We custom-fabricated this piece at 12ft height, fully rounded and covered in rhinestones and crystal chandelier pieces to further ornament the bottom of the apparatus.
  • Limited tech time. As with many shows, we had minimal time in the space itself. Every moment had to be pre-programmed, pre-mapped, and dialed in before tech rehearsals even began.

Result

A Starry Night emerged as a smash-hit holiday residency, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about seasonal productions in Las Vegas. Blending cinematic staging, powerhouse vocals, and immersive design, the show transformed Voltaire into a fully realized holiday spectacle that delivered both intimacy and scale in equal measure.

Critical response reinforced its impact. Las Vegas Weekly praised the production for its “sleek production, soaring vocals, and a holiday spirit that feels both classic and contemporary,” noting that Leona Lewis “shines… both glamorous and deeply personal.”

Additional coverage highlighted the show’s ability to merge superstar performance with genuine connection. Las Vegas Magazine described the residency as striking a balance between “superstar and storyteller,” calling it a “master class in vocal control wrapped in holiday cheer.”

Meanwhile, People positioned the residency as a defining moment in Leona’s career, with the show designed to leave audiences feeling more personally connected to the artist, reinforcing its emotional depth and narrative intent.

Audience response mirrored the critical reception. The show’s dynamic structure—blending holiday favorites with Leona’s biggest hits—created a high-energy yet emotionally resonant experience that appealed equally to dedicated fans and spontaneous Vegas audiences.

Just as importantly, A Starry Night redefined what was possible within Voltaire. The residency unlocked the venue’s full 360-degree potential, expanding sightlines, deepening audience engagement, and establishing a new benchmark for immersive performance in the space.

Ultimately, the production proved that a touring arena show can be fully reimagined for an intimate venue without compromise, delivering arena-level emotion within a fully immersive, close-range environment.
